Savannah
1-1/2 year old pitbull/hound mix
Savannah is currently living at the Franlin Animal Shelter where she has been waiting for her new family since July 2008. She is an extremely sweet girl who attaches very easily to her people once she knows she can trust them. Savannah would benefit from continued positive obedience training and will make a wonderful family dog to the right owners. She is currently working on her basic obedience skills and doing extremely well. She is very playful and affectionate, and steals your heart the minute you meet her. If you would like to learn more about Savannah, please contact the Franklin Animal Shelter.
UPDATE 06/09: Savannah is being fostered at LRLP and is currently working on her basic obedience skills and doing a fantastic job. She gets along great with other dogs, cats, and she LOVES kids!

Kuma before Kuma after
Kuma was abandoned by his original family at the age of 7 due to the owners getting divorced. He was tied outside in the family's backyard and left to fend for himself. His health was deteriorating quickly and he was close to 20 pounds underweight. Kuma had bilateral cruciate disease, was Lyme positive, hypothyroid, and emaciated. Luckily for Kuma, a local dog rescue, New England Doglift, took Kuma in and saw to it that he received the proper medical attention. Kuma is now 10 years old, 102 pounds, and looking as healthy and happy as ever. He was adopted by his foster family in September 2007.
